The New Wave + 4x4 road tour

The New Wave is considered easy/moderate with a trail that follows uneven surfaces on sandstone. The 1.3 mile loop will take you through the iconic red rock sandstone formations with sweeping views of Navajo Mountain, the Vermillion Cliffs, and Lake Powell. After completing the loop, we'll drive you on sandy 4x4 roads where few people go to see more sculpted sandstone and a view of the Colorado River! The best time to do this hike is from October-April. During the hot summer months, sunrise and sunset are the best times to hike this loop.

Pick up locations typically start in Page, Arizona from your hotel, Airbnb, campsite, or the Glen Canyon Conservancy. We can also meet at the New Wave Trailhead.
