Lake Powell's shimmering blue waters are surrounded by red and orange sandstone, and is considered a beautiful wonder of the world. It is a dynamic place that is always changing. The shoreline shifts dramatically each year as the lake levels fluctuate. Local guides will share a wealth of knowledge on the history, geology, and ecology of the region. Hikes take place on sandstone, which can be uneven and steep. We rate this hiking to be moderately challenging.
