Wahweap Creek was briefly under Lake Powell when the reservoir was full in the 1980's, but now it's been over 25 years since Lake Powell flooded Wahweap Creek. Hike with us through the inundated areas where lake sediment was deposited, which moved the creek out of it's historic channel and brought in invasive species. Explore the restoration area, where native plant species have begun re-establishing themselves along the creek without human intervention. Observe the changes in Wahweap Creek, explore unique side canyons, and cool off in the creek.
