Enjoy an easy hike through the stunning Paria Canyon along the Paria River. Start at the historic Lonely Dell Ranch and explore the orchard where fruit can be pick from June-October. Relax in the shade of cottonwoods or cool off in the Paria River. This trail is considered easy and great for families. Total mileage is 4 miles, but less can be done if desired. This hike is do-able in the hot summer months. The trail criss-crosses the Paria River and there is ample time for wading in to cool off.
The general orchard fruit schedule is:
- Late May-June: Apricots
- June-July: Peaches
- July: Plums
- August-September: Apples
- September-October: Pears
If starting in Page, AZ, guides will pick you up from your desired location, then take you on a scenic 45 minute drive to Lee's Ferry where you'll see views of the Vermillion Cliffs and the North Rim of the Grand Canyon. There may be time to stop at some overlooks, then we'll continue to the trailhead, the orchard, and once the hike is complete, another 45 minute scenic drive back to Page.
Pick up locations typically start in Page, Arizona from your hotel, Airbnb, campsite, the Page Lake Powell Hub or the Glen Canyon Conservancy. We also offer pick up from the Marble Canyon Lodge in Marble Canyon, Arizona.

This canyon is susceptible to dangerous flash floods. If heavy rain is predicted, we will reach out to guests 24 hours in advance to either cancel the trip or change the tour to a safer hiking location. If we cancel due to incliment weather, you can expect a full refund.
